With 4-star accommodation, this tour takes you to see Yandtze River Delta, one of the riches regions in China and enjoy major cities of this area- Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Wuxi.

 Day 1 Shanghai City Guests are picked up from their Shanghai hotel around 9:00pm by the tour guide to start touring Shanghai city. Local in-city transportation(taxi or bus) will be paid by the guests. The guests will be taken to the Yuyuan Garden and the old streets of Shanghai. After lunch, the guests can visit Huangpu River bank (the Bund) area and the Oriental Pearl Tower. Around 16:30pm, the guest will be taken back to the hotel.
 Day 2 Shanghai City Today’s tour of Shanghai includes Nanging Road (famous shopping street) and the New World. Dinner will be guests’ own choice with abundance of local selections. Tonight enjoy night view of Shanghai along the “Bund” immersing in the romantic atmosphere. Return to the hotel around 9:00pm.
 Day 3 Suzhou (Stay in Suzhou hotel for the night) Depart from hotel around 8:00am to take 9:15am D412 train from Shanghai to Suzhou, famous silk and garden city. Upon arrival, tour bus( or car) will take the guests to a traditional south-Yangtze style water village Tongli to savor the traditional living of the local people. At lunch time, the tour will arrive at a State AAAA Tourism Spot JingSi Garden for a delicious lunch in the garden. Jingsi Garden will offer you the view of a peaceful and elegant garden tour and let you enjoy the largest private collections of rare stones in China. In the afternoon, enjoy Retreat and Reflection Garden, a great example of the ancient Chinese garden art, one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites. Then in the town, guests can walk over the hundreds year old ancient bridges or visit the ancient streets and architecture along the cannels. Guests will be taken to local hotel (4-star including breakfast) for the night Day 4 The Ancient Watertown of Mudu (Stay at Wuxi hotel for night) At 9:00pm, the guests will be picked up from Shanghai hotels to the town of Mudu. This tour will take you to some of the most unique places in Southern China. The ancient town of Mudu offers classical Suzhou-style gardens, embroidery exhibitions and many histories and stories from this quintessential Watertown. Emperor Qianlong of Qing Dynasty visited this town six times. Lunch will be provided at Mudu. Afternoon visit of the Embroidery Museum in Mudu can allow you to purchase some exquisite silk embroidery and some traditional art pieces as souvenirs. Afterwards take T772 train departing at 17:26pm from Suzhou to Wuxi hotel for the night. Dinner will be served in the hotel. Day 5 Yixing Shanjuan Natural Cavern and Purple Pottery (Same Wuxi hotel for the night) At 8:30am guests are taken by car from Wuxi hotel to Yixing Natural Cavern area. Take tour boat to enjoy the spectacular view of the natural cavern. Lunch in the area. In the afternoon, visit the purple-pottery museum and factory. Hand-make potteries with purple soil oneself under the guidance of the art master. You can take back the pottery you make as a souvenir. Return to Wuxi hotel around 15:30pm. Yixing is a satellite city surrounding Wuxi City, one of the 4 ancient capitals of pottery-making in China. The unique purple soil of the area makes Yixing the best place for tea pots and tea cups made from this unique soil. The history of pottery making has lasted thousands of years. Day 6 Wuxi (Stay in Hangzhou hotel for night) After breakfast, the tour guide will take the guests to tour Wuxi Tai Lake area by local transportation (Transportation fee paid by oneself). First stop is the City of Three Kingdoms tour and watch the horse-riding show of General Lu Bu of Three Kingdoms. Then a boat ride to cruise the beautiful Tai Lake and visit freshwater pearl exhibitions of Tai Lake (can purchase). After lunch, the group will visit Xihui Park and its places of interests. The group will also be invited to watch local artists’ making of clay sculptures on the spot (can purchase) - a unique local art form. Around 14:30pm the guests will be taken to the train station to take T785 fast train to Hangzhou (departing 15:41pm). Guests will be checked into Hangzhou hotel and dinner at the hotel (paid by the guests).
 Day 7 Hangzhou (Same Hangzhou hotel for night) After breakfast around 8:30am, the guests will be taken by car to the Thousand-Island Lake scenic area nearby Hangzhou. A boat tour will introduce Five-dragon Scenic Area (including Lock Island, Bird Island, True Interest Park, Rare Stone Park, Dragon Mountain Island). The lunch will be served on the cruise. Around 15:30pm, guests will be sent back to the Hangzhou hotel. Dinner by guests’ own choices.
 Day 8 Hangzhou (back to Shanghai) After breakfast, guests will be shown to the famous West Lake area in Hangzhou. A boat cruise will allow guest to enjoy the famous West Lake and see spot like Moonlight in Three Ponds, etc. Also having an enjoyable experience by strolling along the water bank named after the famous ancient poet of Su Dongpo, or stopping by scenic spots like Calm Lake and Autumn Moon, Fish-viewing from Flower Harbot, etc. After the lunch, the group will tour Chinese antiques and stop by Hefang Street which simulates the ancient street from Southern Song Dynasty. Around 2:00pm, the guests will be taken to the train station to take D670 from Hangshou back to Shanghai (departs at 14:55pm, arrives at 16:18pm). Hence complete the 8-day tour of the area. |

Additional travel or tour insurance can be purchased locally with additional fees. Children under 3 years old are free provided that they can share the same seats with adults if the bus is full. Children’s price is for age 3-12. Children of 13 years old or older will be charged at full adult price. If hotel rooms are included for the multi-day tours, additional beds will be added for children under 13 sharing the same room with adults.
