Chengde Summer Resort, smaller version of the Great Wall, Temple of the Wooden Buddha, Putuozongcheng Temple, and browse the local markets

Situated in the north part of the city center of Chengde, Hebei, the Summer Resort is the place for the emperor of Qing dynasty to spend summer holidays and handle governmental affairs. It was originally built in 1703, and finished in 1792. The total size is 5,640,000 square meters, with a building area of around 100,000 square meters. The winding palace wall is more than 190 km long. The Summer Resort was honored as "World Cultural and Natural Heritage" by the UNESCO in 1994.
To the east and north of the Summer Resort, distributed the grand and huge temple constructions. These temples were constructed during 1713-1780. They are: Anda Temple, Puning Temple, Xumifusi Temple, Putuozongcheng Temple, Shuxiang Temple. Putuozongcheng Temple, at the skirt of the northern and eastern walls of the imperial summer resort, is an imitation of the Potala Palace in Tibet, and known as the Small Potala Palace.
Day 1 Beijing - Chengde (L/D)
Met at Beijing Railway Station at 6:30am by your tour guide, take morning train to Chengde, the former summer retreat of the Manchu Emperors (250km, 4 hours).
Upon arrival transfer to the Yunshan hotel. After lunch visit the majestic Summer Resort, the largest royal landscape in China today, enveloped within a smaller version of the Great Wall. Check in hotel in Chengde for the night.
Day 2 Chengde - Beijing (B/L)
An inspirational half-day sightseeing includes the Temple of the Wooden Buddha, the Putuozongcheng Temple, a dramatic replica of the Potala Palace in Tibet and time to browse the local markets. After lunch transferred to the railway station and take soft berth back to Beijing. End of service upon arrival at Beijing Station.

Guests will receive a message at their hotels for their tour arrangements in advance and will be contacted the evening before the tour for confirmation of pick-up time. Guests will be sent back to the hotels after the tour. |

The adult price is for per person. There is a discount for larger group. The Child Price is for children under 12 years old. The tour price include luxury transportation for the whole tour, gate fees to all attractions in the tour, English-speaking tour guide (German and French guides available on request with surcharge), meals as specified (B/L/D), 1-night hotel accommodation(for double occupancy, extra room charge for single), train tickets, and basic travel insurance.
