II. Questions on Customer Care
1. How to get a visa to China?
[Answer] Please visit the Chinese Embassy or Consulate web site closest to you to see the requirements on getting a visa to China. The web site of Embassy of P.R.China in the US is at http://www.china-embassy.org/eng/. You may also consult you local travel agency for help. It’s not complicated and may take about 1-4 weeks.
2. What are the new passport requirements for re-entering the United States?

3. How early in advance I can book and reserve online for rooms or tours to China?
[Answer] Advanced booking are always recommended for international travel-related services. Our web site typically will have the up-to-date information up to 6 months or 1 year in advance. However for some special events, there may be pricing changes, for example, 2008 Olympics period. The price you book from the web site may not accurately reflect the true price that suppliers will charge, but we will confirm with you the final price after you reserve online before your trip.
4. Do you offer price guarantee from the bookings from your site?
[Answer] Yes, we will try all possible ways to guarantee the price listed from our site except those with special notes about the possible price changes. Situations for special events during advanced booking as mentioned in Question#5 may appear. We will notify users during the reservation confirmation as early as we can.
5. Is there additional service charge with each of the Room or Tour Booking?
[Answer] It depends on the situation. For Room Bookings, some hotels or properties may charge local tax or standard service fees at the time of check-out. If in-room not-for-free items or additional services are used during the stay (for example, phone, laundry, etc), those fees will be added at the end of the check-out as service charge. For Tour Bookings, services outside the standard tour package will likely be charged additional fees. Tips are not counted as service fees.
6. I’m an expat and I want to book a property for longer-term of stay, is this possible?
[Answer] It’s possible. The web site currently allows maximum 3-month’s booking automatically. Long stay requires a reservation fee up to first month’s rental fee. A monthly charge will be applied directly to your credit card at the end of each month (except the first month in which reservation fee will be considered). If you prefer to stay longer after 3 months, please contact us back to extend your stay as early as you can make the decision. A local rental contract may be needed for long-term renting. The availability for the same property/room cannot be guaranteed if other users have already booked the same room before the extension request. However, we are always willing to work with customers under different circumstances to help find the best solutions.
7. What I should do if I didn’t receive a confirmation email for my booking online?
[Answer] After completing your booking you should receive a confirmation email with your Reservation #. If you did not receive your confirmation email, we recommend that you check the Spam/Junk folder in your email to ensure that your confirmation email was not auto-filtered to that folder. Additionally, you may want to add Chinadreaminn.com to your “allowed” senders list so that we can send you confirmation emails on your payment or future notification emails. If you don't receive your confirmation email, you can always verify your reservations online by login onto your account through Public User sign-in page or “Your Reservation” tab. If you still didn’t see your reservation listed, please contact us at Customerservice@chinadreaminn.com.
8. How to review/print, change or cancel my room or tour reservations made from the web site?
[Answer] You can always view and verify your reservations online by login onto your account through Public User sign-in page or “Your Reservation” tab. You can change some of your reservation information online. For cancellation or change of check-in or check-out time, you may need to go through our Customer Service to re-confirm the availability. Please notice our Cancellation Policy posted. If you cancellation or changes are made shorter than the allowed time range for free cancellation, a service fee may apply for such changes or result in forfeit part or total of your earlier reservation fees. You are always recommended to contact us at Customerservice@chinadreaminn.com with your Reservation# before you decide to make changes to your reservations.
9. How to review or change my profile information?
[Answer] For public users, you may go through Public User sign-in page or “Your Reservation” tab to view or change your personal profile. For Property Owners, please log on to “Property Owner” page.
10. Do I need to re-confirm my bookings before my departure?
[Answer] You do not need to re-confirm your bookings if your reservations have already been confirmed through email with Chinadreaminn.com. However if you have any question before your departure, you are welcome to contact Customer Service at Customerservice@chinadreaminn.com. Please remember to put your phone number in your email request. We’ll ensure that we reply to your request by email or phone as timely as possible.
